I've been thinking recently that the wedding shouldn't cost that much. It's the honeymoon that should be lavish, as that's the part that's just for me and him.
With this in mind, I've been thinking of ways to save money - taking away the ridiculous costs of food, decorations, etc. is probably the wisest, as there are bargains and shortcuts to be found.
Ideas for invitations, then, might include:
* polaroids of our faces with info hand-written on the back (I guess with the cost of polaroid film this may actually be expensive though..)
* checking Oxfam etc. for old whimsical postcards of countryside scenes from England and writing the details on the back
* using a stamp set with a small postcard-sized coloured card
